de dose de radia\u00e7\u00e3o,<\/strong>\u00a0porque n\u00e3o possuem &#8220;tempo morto&#8221;, um fen\u00f4meno que afeta a precis\u00e3o do tubo Geiger-Mueller em altas taxas de dose.<\/p>\n<p>A\u00a0<strong>c\u00e2mara de \u00edons compensados<\/strong>\u00a0\u00e9 utilizada na faixa intermedi\u00e1ria porque a sa\u00edda de corrente \u00e9 proporcional ao fluxo de n\u00eautrons relativamente est\u00e1vel e compensa os sinais do fluxo gama.\u00a0A c\u00e2mara de \u00edons compensados \u200b\u200bconsiste em dois detectores em um caso.\u00a0A c\u00e2mara externa \u00e9 revestida por dentro com\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nuclear-power.com\/glossary\/boron-10\/\">boro-10<\/a>\u00a0, enquanto a c\u00e2mara interna n\u00e3o \u00e9 revestida.\u00a0A\u00a0<strong>c\u00e2mara revestida<\/strong>\u00a0\u00e9 sens\u00edvel aos raios gama e n\u00eautrons, enquanto a\u00a0<strong>c\u00e2mara n\u00e3o revestida<\/strong>\u00a0\u00e9 sens\u00edvel apenas aos raios gama.\u00a0Ao conectar as duas c\u00e2maras de maneira adequada, a sa\u00edda el\u00e9trica l\u00edquida do detector ser\u00e1 a corrente devido apenas aos n\u00eautrons.<\/p>\n<p>Para atingir a quantidade adequada de compensa\u00e7\u00e3o gama, as tens\u00f5es entre esses dois conjuntos de eletrodos devem ser balanceadas.\u00a0As consequ\u00eancias de operar com uma c\u00e2mara supercompensada ou subcompensada s\u00e3o importantes.\u00a0Se a voltagem na c\u00e2mara de compensa\u00e7\u00e3o for muito alta, o detector ser\u00e1\u00a0<strong>supercompensado<\/strong>\u00a0e alguma corrente de n\u00eautrons, assim como toda a corrente gama, ser\u00e1 bloqueada e a pot\u00eancia indicada ser\u00e1 menor que a pot\u00eancia real.\u00a0Se a tens\u00e3o de compensa\u00e7\u00e3o estiver muito baixa,\u00a0ocorrer\u00e1 uma\u00a0<strong>subcompensa\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong>\u00a0.\u00a0Em alta pot\u00eancia, o fluxo gama \u00e9 relativamente pequeno comparado ao fluxo de n\u00eautrons, e os efeitos da compensa\u00e7\u00e3o inadequada podem n\u00e3o ser percebidos.\u00a0\u00c9 extremamente importante, no
