s\u00edmbolo de perigo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>A dosimetria de radia\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong>\u00a0\u00e9 a medi\u00e7\u00e3o, c\u00e1lculo e avalia\u00e7\u00e3o das doses absorvidas e a atribui\u00e7\u00e3o dessas doses aos indiv\u00edduos.\u00a0\u00c9 a ci\u00eancia e a pr\u00e1tica que tentam relacionar quantitativamente medidas espec\u00edficas feitas em um campo de radia\u00e7\u00e3o com altera\u00e7\u00f5es qu\u00edmicas e \/ ou biol\u00f3gicas que a radia\u00e7\u00e3o produziria em um alvo.<\/p>\n<h2>Dosimetria M\u00e9dica<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Dosimetria m\u00e9dica<\/strong>\u00a0\u00e9 o c\u00e1lculo da dose absorvida e a otimiza\u00e7\u00e3o da administra\u00e7\u00e3o da dose em exames e tratamentos m\u00e9dicos.\u00a0Em geral, as exposi\u00e7\u00f5es \u00e0 radia\u00e7\u00e3o de exames m\u00e9dicos de diagn\u00f3stico s\u00e3o baixas (especialmente em usos diagn\u00f3sticos).\u00a0As doses tamb\u00e9m podem ser altas (apenas para usos terap\u00eauticos), mas, em cada caso, devem ser sempre justificadas pelos benef\u00edcios do diagn\u00f3stico preciso de poss\u00edveis doen\u00e7as ou pelos benef\u00edcios de um tratamento preciso.\u00a0Essas doses incluem contribui\u00e7\u00f5es da radiologia de diagn\u00f3stico m\u00e9dico e odontol\u00f3gico (raios X de diagn\u00f3stico), medicina nuclear cl\u00ednica e radioterapia.\u00a0<strong>Dosimetria m\u00e9dica<\/strong>\u00e9 frequentemente realizada por um profissional de sa\u00fade com treinamento especializado nesse campo.\u00a0Para planejar a administra\u00e7\u00e3o da terapia de radia\u00e7\u00e3o, a radia\u00e7\u00e3o produzida pelas fontes \u00e9 geralmente caracterizada com curvas de porcentagem de profundidade e perfis de dose medidos por um m\u00e9dico.<\/p>\n<p>O uso m\u00e9dico da radia\u00e7\u00e3o ionizante permanece um campo em r\u00e1pida mudan\u00e7a.\u00a0Em qualquer caso, a utilidade da radia\u00e7\u00e3o ionizante deve ser equilibrada com seus riscos.\u00a0Atualmente, foi encontrado um compromisso e a maioria dos usos de radia\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 otimizada.\u00a0Hoje, \u00e9 quase inacredit\u00e1vel que os raios-x tenham sido usados \u200b\u200bao mesmo tempo para encontrar o par certo de sapatos (por exemplo, fluoroscopia para cal\u00e7ar sapatos).\u00a0As medi\u00e7\u00f5es feitas nos \u00faltimos anos indicam que as doses para os p\u00e9s estavam na faixa de 0,07 a 0,14 Gy para uma exposi\u00e7\u00e3o de 20 segundos.\u00a0Esta pr\u00e1tica foi interrompida quando os riscos da radia\u00e7\u00e3o ionizante foram melhor compreendidos.<\/p>\n<p>Veja tamb\u00e9m:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nuclear-power.com\/nuclear-engineering\/radiation-protection\/sources-of-radiation\/man-made-sources-of-radiation\/medical-exposures\/\">Exposi\u00e7\u00f5es m\u00e9dicas<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Exemplos de exposi\u00e7\u00f5es m\u00e9dicas<\/h3>\n<p><span>Nos pontos a seguir, tentamos expressar enormes faixas de exposi\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 radia\u00e7\u00e3o, bem como algumas doses de fontes m\u00e9dicas.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span>1 \u00b5Sv<\/span><\/strong><span>\u00a0\u00a0&#8211;
