um\u00a0modelo\u00a0<strong>conservador<\/strong>\u00a0usado na prote\u00e7\u00e3o contra radia\u00e7\u00e3o para estimar os efeitos na sa\u00fade de\u00a0<strong>pequenas doses de radia\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong>\u00a0.\u00a0De acordo com o modelo LNT, a radia\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 sempre considerada prejudicial\u00a0<strong>sem limiar de seguran\u00e7a<\/strong>\u00a0, e a soma de v\u00e1rias exposi\u00e7\u00f5es muito pequenas \u00e9 considerada como tendo o mesmo risco biol\u00f3gico que uma exposi\u00e7\u00e3o maior (linearidade).\u00a0.<\/p>\n<h2>LNT e dose coletiva<\/h2>\n<p>No caso de\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiation-dosimetry.org\/pt-br\/o-que-e-dose-efetiva-coletiva-definicao\/\">dose coletiva<\/a>\u00a0, a conservatividade do modelo LNT tem enormes conseq\u00fc\u00eancias e o modelo \u00e0s vezes \u00e9 errado (talvez intencionalmente) para quantificar o efeito cancer\u00edgeno de doses coletivas de\u00a0contamina\u00e7\u00e3o radioativa\u00a0de\u00a0<strong>baixo n\u00edvel<\/strong>\u00a0.\u00a0Uma curva linear de dose-efeito torna poss\u00edvel o uso de doses coletivas para calcular os efeitos prejudiciais a uma popula\u00e7\u00e3o irradiada.\u00a0Simplesmente:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.radiation-dosimetry.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/collective-effective-dose-definition.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-25479 lazy-loaded\" src=\"http:\/\/www.radiation-dosimetry.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/collective-effective-dose-definition.png\" alt=\"dose efetiva coletiva\" width=\"381\" height=\"151\" data-lazy-type=\"image\" data-src=\"http:\/\/www.radiation-dosimetry.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/collective-effective-dose-definition.png\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Mas o que isso significa?\u00a0Se dez milh\u00f5es de pessoas receberem uma\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiation-dosimetry.org\/pt-br\/o-que-e-dose-eficaz-definicao\/\">dose efetiva<\/a>\u00a0de 0,1\u00a0<strong>\u00b5Sv<\/strong>\u00a0(o equivalente a comer\u00a0<strong>uma banana<\/strong>\u00a0), a dose coletiva ser\u00e1\u00a0<strong>S = 1 Sv<\/strong>\u00a0.\u00a0Isso significa que h\u00e1 5,5% de chance de desenvolver c\u00e2ncer para uma pessoa devido ao consumo de bananas?\u00a0Observe que,\u00a0<strong>para doses altas,<\/strong>\u00a0um\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiation-dosimetry.org\/pt-br\/o-que-e-sievert-unidade-de-dose-equivalente-definicao\/\">sievert<\/a>\u00a0representa uma chance de 5,5% de desenvolver c\u00e2ncer.\u00a0V\u00e1rias organiza\u00e7\u00f5es discordam desse resultado e do uso do modelo linear sem limite para estimar o risco de exposi\u00e7\u00e3o ambiental e ocupacional\u00a0<strong>a radia\u00e7\u00e3o de baixo n\u00edvel<\/strong>\u00a0.\u00a0H\u00e1 uma quest\u00e3o de saber se a dose coletiva \u00e9 significativa.<\/p>\n<p>Somente o ICRP declara:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cA quantidade de dose efetiva coletiva \u00e9 um instrumento de otimiza\u00e7\u00e3o, para comparar tecnologias radiol\u00f3gicas e procedimentos de prote\u00e7\u00e3o, predominantemente no contexto de exposi\u00e7\u00e3o ocupacional.\u00a0A dose coletiva eficaz n\u00e3o se destina a ser uma ferramenta para avalia\u00e7\u00e3o de risco epidemiol\u00f3gico e \u00e9 inadequado us\u00e1-la em proje\u00e7\u00f5es de risco.\u00a0A agrega\u00e7\u00e3o de doses individuais muito baixas por per\u00edodos prolongados \u00e9 inadequada e, em particular, o c\u00e1lculo do n\u00famero de mortes por c\u00e2ncer com base em doses efetivas coletivas de doses individuais triviais deve ser evitado. \u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Refer\u00eancia especial: ICRP, 2007.
