Radia\u00e7\u00e3o de Fundo Natural<\/h3>\n<p>Dividimos todas essas fontes naturais de radia\u00e7\u00e3o em tr\u00eas grupos:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nuclear-power.com\/nuclear-engineering\/radiation-protection\/sources-of-radiation\/cosmic-radiation-cosmic-rays\/\">Radia\u00e7\u00e3o C\u00f3smica<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0.\u00a0A radia\u00e7\u00e3o c\u00f3smica refere-se a fontes de radia\u00e7\u00e3o na forma de raios c\u00f3smicos que v\u00eam do sol ou do espa\u00e7o sideral.\u00a0No n\u00edvel do solo, os\u00a0<strong>\u00a0m\u00faons<\/strong>\u00a0, com energias principalmente entre 1 e 20 GeV, contribuem com cerca de 75% da taxa de dose absorvida no ar livre.\u00a0O restante vem de el\u00e9trons produzidos pelos m\u00faons ou presentes na cascata eletromagn\u00e9tica.\u00a0A<a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiation-dosimetry.org\/pt-br\/o-que-e-dose-eficaz-definicao\/\">\u00a0dose<\/a>\u00a0anual de raios c\u00f3smicos\u00a0\u00a0ao n\u00edvel do mar \u00e9 de cerca de\u00a0<strong>\u00a00,27 mSv<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0(27 mrem).\u00a0Se voc\u00ea mora em eleva\u00e7\u00f5es mais altas ou \u00e9 um passageiro frequente de uma companhia a\u00e9rea, essa exposi\u00e7\u00e3o pode ser significativamente maior, pois a atmosfera \u00e9 mais fina aqui.\u00a0Os efeitos do\u00a0<strong>\u00a0campo magn\u00e9tico da Terra<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0tamb\u00e9m determinam a dose da\u00a0<strong>\u00a0radia\u00e7\u00e3o c\u00f3smica<\/strong>\u00a0.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nuclear-power.com\/nuclear-engineering\/radiation-protection\/sources-of-radiation\/terrestrial-radiation\/\"><strong>Radia\u00e7\u00e3o Terrestre<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0.\u00a0Radia\u00e7\u00e3o terrestre refere-se a fontes de radia\u00e7\u00e3o que est\u00e3o no solo, na \u00e1gua e na vegeta\u00e7\u00e3o.\u00a0Os principais is\u00f3topos preocupantes da radia\u00e7\u00e3o terrestre s\u00e3o o ur\u00e2nio e os produtos de decomposi\u00e7\u00e3o do ur\u00e2nio, como t\u00f3rio, r\u00e1dio e r\u00e1don.\u00a0A taxa de dose m\u00e9dia que se origina dos nucl\u00eddeos terrestres (exceto a exposi\u00e7\u00e3o ao rad\u00f4nio) \u00e9 de cerca de\u00a0<strong>\u00a00,057 \u00b5Gy \/ h.\u00a0<\/strong>Os valores m\u00e1ximos foram medidos na areia de monazita em Guarapari, Brasil (at\u00e9 50 \u00b5Gy \/ hora e em Kerala, \u00cdndia (cerca de 2 \u00b5Gy \/ hora), e em rochas com alta concentra\u00e7\u00e3o de r\u00e1dio em Ramsar, Ir\u00e3 (de 1 a 10 \u00b5Gy \/ h). A dose m\u00e9dia anual de radia\u00e7\u00e3o para uma pessoa do<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nuclear-power.com\/nuclear-engineering\/radiation-protection\/sources-of-radiation\/radon-health-effects-health-risks\/\">\u00a0rad\u00f4nio<\/a>\u00a0\u00e9 de cerca de\u00a0<strong>\u00a02 mSv \/ ano<\/strong>\u00a0e pode variar em v\u00e1rias ordens de magnitude de um lugar para outro.\u00a0O rad\u00f4nio \u00e9 t\u00e3o importante que geralmente \u00e9 tratado separadamente.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nuclear-power.com\/nuclear-engineering\/radiation-protection\/sources-of-radiation\/internal-source-of-radiation\/\"><strong>Radia\u00e7\u00e3o interna<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0.\u00a0Al\u00e9m das fontes c\u00f3smicas e terrestres, todas as pessoas tamb\u00e9m t\u00eam pot\u00e1ssio radioativo-40, carbono-14, chumbo-210 e outros is\u00f3topos dentro de seus corpos desde o nascimento.\u00a0A concentra\u00e7\u00e3o de pot\u00e1ssio-40 \u00e9 quase\u00a0<strong>\u00a0est\u00e1vel\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0em todas as pessoas a um n\u00edvel de cerca de\u00a0<strong>\u00a055 Bq \/ kg<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0(3850 Bq no total), o que corresponde \u00e0 dose efetiva anual de\u00a0<strong>\u00a00,2 mSv<\/strong>\u00a0.\u00a0A dose anual de carbono-14 \u00e9 estimada em cerca de\u00a0<strong>\u00a012 \u03bcSv \/ ano<\/strong>\u00a0.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Radia\u00e7\u00e3o no espa\u00e7o<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_25692\" alta energia originadas no espa\u00e7o sideral que geram chuveiros secund\u00e1rios na atmosfera mais baixa.\u00a0Part\u00edculas carregadas (principalmente pr\u00f3tons de alta energia) do sol e do espa\u00e7o exterior interagem com a atmosfera da Terra e o campo magn\u00e9tico para produzir um\u00a0\u00a0<strong>banho<\/strong>\u00a0de radia\u00e7\u00e3o (isto \u00e9, chuveiro de ar), tipicamente\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nuclear-power.com\/nuclear-power\/reactor-physics\/atomic-nuclear-physics\/fundamental-particles\/photon\/gamma-ray\/\">radia\u00e7\u00e3o\u00a0<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nuclear-power.com\/nuclear-power\/reactor-physics\/atomic-nuclear-physics\/fundamental-particles\/beta-particle\/\">beta<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0e\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nuclear-power.com\/nuclear-power\/reactor-physics\/atomic-nuclear-physics\/fundamental-particles\/photon\/gamma-ray\/\">gama<\/a>\u00a0.\u00a0Se voc\u00ea mora em c\u00f3smica<\/strong>\u00a0.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Composition_of_Cosmic_Radiation\">Composi\u00e7\u00e3o da radia\u00e7\u00e3o c\u00f3smica<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>A\u00a0\u00a0<strong>radia\u00e7\u00e3o c\u00f3smica prim\u00e1ria<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0consiste em uma mistura de\u00a0<strong>pr\u00f3tons<\/strong>\u00a0de\u00a0\u00a0<strong>alta energia<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0(~ 87%),\u00a0\u00a0<strong>part\u00edculas alfa<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0(~ 11%),\u00a0\u00a0<strong>el\u00e9trons de alta energia<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0(~ 1%) e um tra\u00e7o de n\u00facleos mais pesados \u200b\u200b(~ 1%).\u00a0A energia dessas part\u00edculas varia entre 10\u00a0<sup>8\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0eV e 10\u00a0<sup>20<\/sup>\u00a0\u00a0eV.\u00a0Uma fra\u00e7\u00e3o muito pequena s\u00e3o part\u00edculas est\u00e1veis \u200b\u200bde\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nuclear-power.com\/nuclear-power\/reactor-physics\/atomic-nuclear-physics\/fundamental-particles\/what-is-antimatter\/\">antimat\u00e9ria<\/a>\u00a0, como\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nuclear-power.com\/nuclear-power\/reactor-physics\/atomic-nuclear-physics\/fundamental-particles\/what-is-electron-properties-of-electron\/what-is-positron-properties\/\">p\u00f3sitrons<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0ou\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nuclear-power.com\/nuclear-power\/reactor-physics\/atomic-nuclear-physics\/fundamental-particles\/what-is-proton-properties-of-proton\/antiproton\/\">antipr\u00f3tons<\/a>\u00a0.\u00a0A natureza precisa dessa fra\u00e7\u00e3o restante \u00e9 uma \u00e1rea de pesquisa ativa.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Energy_of_Cosmic_Rays\">Energia dos Raios C\u00f3smicos<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Observou-se que as energias dos raios c\u00f3smicos mais energ\u00e9ticos de ultra alta energia (UHECRs) se aproximam de 3 x 10\u00a0<sup>20<\/sup>\u00a0\u00a0eV, cerca de 40 milh\u00f5es de vezes a energia das part\u00edculas aceleradas pelo Large Hadron Collider.\u00a0A origem das part\u00edculas de alta energia \u00e9 do espa\u00e7o sideral.\u00a0Sup\u00f5e-se que part\u00edculas com uma energia de at\u00e9 10\u00a0<sup>15<\/sup>\u00a0\u00a0eV sejam provenientes de nossa pr\u00f3pria gal\u00e1xia, enquanto aquelas com as energias mais altas provavelmente t\u00eam uma origem extragal\u00e1tica.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Classification_of_Cosmic_Radiation\"><span>Classifica\u00e7\u00e3o da radia\u00e7\u00e3o c\u00f3smica<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span>A radia\u00e7\u00e3o c\u00f3smica pode ser dividida em diferentes tipos, de acordo com sua origem.\u00a0Existem tr\u00eas fontes principais dessa radia\u00e7\u00e3o:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nuclear-power.com\/nuclear-engineering\/radiation-protection\/sources-of-radiation\/cosmic-radiation-cosmic-rays\/solar-cosmic-radiation\/\"><strong><span>Radia\u00e7\u00e3o C\u00f3smica Solar<\/span><\/strong><\/a><span>\u00a0.\u00a0A radia\u00e7\u00e3o c\u00f3smica solar refere-se a fontes de radia\u00e7\u00e3o na forma de part\u00edculas de alta energia (predominantemente pr\u00f3tons) emitidas pelo sol, principalmente em eventos de part\u00edculas solares (SPEs).\u00a0A radia\u00e7\u00e3o solar \u00e9 um risco significativo de radia\u00e7\u00e3o para naves espaciais e astronautas, tamb\u00e9m produz taxas de dose significativas em grandes altitudes, mas apenas a radia\u00e7\u00e3o mais energ\u00e9tica contribui para doses ao n\u00edvel do solo.\u00a0Observe que qualquer pessoa que estivesse na superf\u00edcie da Lua durante uma erup\u00e7\u00e3o solar particularmente violenta em 2005 teria recebido uma\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nuclear-power.com\/nuclear-engineering\/radiation-protection\/radiobiology\/deterministic-effects\/lethal-dose-of-radiation\/\"><span>\u00a0dose letal<\/span><\/a><span>\u00a0.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nuclear-power.com\/nuclear-engineering\/radiation-protection\/sources-of-radiation\/cosmic-radiation-cosmic-rays\/galactic-cosmic-radiation-gcr\/\"><strong><span>Radia\u00e7\u00e3o C\u00f3smica Gal\u00e1ctica<\/span><\/strong><\/a><span>\u00a0.\u00a0A radia\u00e7\u00e3o c\u00f3smica gal\u00e1ctica, GCR, refere-se a fontes de radia\u00e7\u00e3o na forma de part\u00edculas de alta energia origin\u00e1rias fora do sistema solar, mas geralmente de dentro da nossa gal\u00e1xia Via L\u00e1ctea.\u00a0O componente nucle\u00f4nico consiste ent\u00e3o de uma mistura de pr\u00f3tons de alta energia (~ 86%), part\u00edculas alfa (~ 12%) e um tra\u00e7o de n\u00facleos mais pesados \u200b\u200b(~ 1%).\u00a0Os GCR est\u00e3o presos no campo magn\u00e9tico gal\u00e1ctico, portanto, provavelmente foram acelerados nos \u00faltimos milh\u00f5es de anos e viajaram muitas vezes pela gal\u00e1xia.\u00a0Seu mecanismo de acelera\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 incerto, mas um dos mecanismos poss\u00edveis \u00e9 que as part\u00edculas sejam aceleradas por ondas de choque que se expandem das supernovas.\u00a0A energia dessas part\u00edculas varia entre equador.\u00a0Existem dois cintur\u00f5es de radia\u00e7\u00e3o van Allen, um cintur\u00e3o interno centralizado a cerca de 3.000 quil\u00f4metros e um cintur\u00e3o externo centralizado a cerca de 22.000 quil\u00f4metros da superf\u00edcie terrestre.\u00a0Ele cont\u00e9m principalmente pr\u00f3tons energ\u00e9ticos na faixa de 10 a 100 MeV.\u00a0As naves espaciais que viajam al\u00e9m da \u00f3rbita baixa da Terra entram na zona de radia\u00e7\u00e3o dos cintur\u00f5es de Van Allen.\u00a0Al\u00e9m dos cintos, eles enfrentam riscos adicionais de raios c\u00f3smicos e eventos de part\u00edculas solares.\u00a0Uma regi\u00e3o entre as correias interna e externa de Van Allen fica de dois a quatro raios terrestres e \u00e0s vezes \u00e9 chamada de \u201czona
